Blender Edit Mode Add-on

GestureMesh

One-hand mesh modeling.

Select geometry. Drag from the selection. Release to apply. Gesture Mesh turns simple mouse gestures into fast extrude, inset, and bevel operations inside Blender. No keyboard shortcuts required: just move the mouse.

Workflow

Stop switching tools for repeated actions.

Gesture Mesh keeps your modeling flow focused. Instead of moving between tools, menus, and operation panels, you work directly from the selected face, edge, or vertex.

01

Select geometry

Start from the face, edge, or vertex selection you already have in Blender Edit Mode.

02

Drag from selection

The drag direction chooses the operation, keeping the workflow direct and fast.

03

Release to apply

Preview the result while dragging, then release to commit the operation.

Face Mode

Direction-based face modeling.

In Face Select Mode, Gesture Mesh reads the direction of your drag and chooses the operation. Common modeling actions become fast, spatial, and direct.

Operations

Fast gestures for hard-surface details.

Extrude

Quick extrusion shapes

Drag up or down from selected faces to create extrusion shapes quickly.

Inset

Region and individual inset

Drag left for region inset or right for individual inset in Face Select Mode.

Bevel

Detail refinement

Drag diagonally to bevel selected faces, edges, or vertices without leaving the modeling flow.

Live Feedback

Preview before committing.

Gesture Mesh previews the operation while dragging. A small value label near the cursor shows the current amount for extrusion, inset, or bevel.

Release to confirm Esc or right click to cancel Shift for fine control

Next Release

Coming in the Next Release: GestureMesh V2

GestureMesh V2 is currently in development and will arrive with the next release.

The next version is planned to expand viewport modeling with faster, more intuitive mouse gestures, smarter interactions, and greater control over every operation.

Planned for V2

Gesture Chains

Combine multiple modeling operations in one continuous gesture workflow.

Gesture Cut

Draw directly on your mesh to create fast cuts and new shapes.

Loop Cut Gestures

Add and control loop cuts without interrupting your workflow.

Transform Gestures

Move, rotate and scale geometry through intuitive mouse movements.

Smart Extrude

Extrude geometry naturally following the direction of your gesture.

Gesture Macros

Create and save custom gesture-driven modeling sequences.

Interactive HUD

See distance, bevel width, segments and other parameters directly while modeling.

Precision Controls

Use modifiers for snapping, fine adjustments and alternate gesture modes.

Improved Gesture Recognition

Faster, smoother and more reliable gesture detection.

One Gesture. Multiple Actions.

GestureMesh V2 will be designed to reduce clicks, menus and repetitive operations.

Draw. Gesture. Model.

GestureMesh

Select. Drag. Model.

Keep the modeling loop simple and direct: select geometry, drag from the selection, preview the operation, and release to apply.
