Video Gobos

Video textures can be imported and used as animated gobos. Select a video gobo like any other texture, then press Play on Blender's timeline to preview and render the animation. GoboCaster 2 keeps playback under your control instead of forcing automatic playback.

Cycles and EEVEE Workflow

Use Cycles for physically accurate gobo projection through spotlight nodes. For EEVEE, GoboCaster 2 includes EEVEE Gobo Mode, designed for high-contrast shadow-style gobo effects.

Tracking Light Workflow

Select an object and use Add Tracking Light to create a spotlight that automatically follows the target. Move the object and the light keeps aiming at it. Use the Distance control to move the light closer or farther away while keeping the projection coverage stable.
